The Summary Review:
I used to work in construction and I’m impressed with my experience with Timber Coast Construction.
They were low bidder, produced quality work, were kind/ conscientious, and had clear and timely communication (not to mention follow-through!) That includes the whole process, from start to finish, and applies to all members of the company that I interacted with (managers/owners and the guys that did the work.) I definitely recommend them and already have to some friends and neighbors.
The More- Detailed Review:
This was primarily a plumbing job in which I needed some copper fittings replaced on the interior of the house and a new water supply line from the water meter into the basement. They were the low bidder by thousands of dollars. The 5 members of the company that I interacted with all had clear and timely communication especially when it came to adjusting the time frame of work to fit our schedule. Tyson, Sergio, Omar, Diego and Flavian were all considerate. They all communicated their plans well, they were trustworthy, they did quality work, a great job with clean-up, and they were flexible around the few demands we had in our schedule.
The inspector that came by also had praise for them, saying that he was really pleased that the job was permited amidst all of the fraud in the city (Tacoma). He noted how kind/ friendly the guys were too. He said he could recall a few other jobs with Timber Coast, and that they were developing a positive reputation with him based on the permitting and work that he had seen. He was pleased that I had a positive experience, summing up with, “This is the way it ought to be.”
Tyson did a great job with bidding, payments, and coordinating the work with us and the crew. Omar not only repaired the interior piping, but was able to eliminate some superfluous pipes, with the bonus of getting hot water to our kitchen sink much faster. After the work was done, Sergio came by to inspect the guys’ work and to get my signature to close the job. He spent ample time with me, and asked if there was anything that could be done better. He also freely gave advice on some structural questions I had that were unrelated to the job.
I was told once by a mentor contractor that there are three factors to consider (as a consumer) with construction, price, quality of work, and how quick the work can be accomplished. Furthermore, that if you get at least 2 of those, you are doing alright. Timber Coast succeeded with all three on this job.
This is genuinely unsolicited info other than being asked to write a review.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review, it truly means a lot to our entire team.
Hearing feedback like this, especially from someone with a construction background, is incredibly meaningful. We work hard to balance pricing, quality, and schedule while doing things the right way, so your recognition of all three really hits home for us.
I’ll be sure to share your kind words with Sergio, Omar, Edgar, Fabian, and the rest of the crew. They take a lot of pride in their work, in clear communication, and in being respectful guests in our clients’ homes, so this feedback will mean a great deal to them.
We also appreciate you noting the importance of permitting and doing things above board. That’s a core value for us, and hearing that it’s noticed, by both homeowners and inspectors, reinforces why we do what we do.
Thank you again for trusting MyGCNow with your project and for recommending us to your friends and neighbors. If you ever need help in the future or have questions we can assist with, don’t hesitate to reach out.
